Exploring Sensations gives an opportunity for children ages 5-16, to navigate their body in their environment by engaging in a variety of sensory experiences. This program will be led by Felicia Thierer, OTR/L and volunteers who have experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The goals of this program include:
- Decrease sensitivity to challenging movement experiences
- Improve willingness to take risks in activities that are typically avoided
- Foster social relationships
- Increase confidence and self esteem
There will be a maximum of 10 children in each 45-minute class.
Dates: Sundays, March 18 -May 20, 2012 (no class 4/1 or 4/8)
